Magical Mystery Tour - Album

This page is dedicated to the Album, not the song of film of the same name.

The front cover features The Beatles themsevles but dressed in weird animal skins. Again there is one of them singled out as a black Walrus. The person in the costume appears to be in pain, with feet for hands. All the other Beatles have their own hands and cosutme eyes, but The Walrus has dark cut outs. The Hippo costume on the left is note worthy due to a gaping hole in its chest and half the head missing.

The right hand two costumes belong to George and John, evidenced by their watches on their left wrists. The Hippo has a watch on its right wrist, meaning it could be Paul or Ringo, but wearing a ring means that the likely hood of the hippo being Paul is reduced... Three watches, three white animals and so on. So on the front cover the Walrus could be Paul...

The rear cover contains a scene from the film as a photograph. It has been heavily edited and distorted. The Beatles themselves are in white and the scene in the film features Your Mother Should Know song. In the film, Paul wears a rare black carnation. The Beatles are split into 3 and bit in most of the bits where they appear and there is a womans head and upper body that appears to resemble Pauls head from there rear near the top right of the picture.

Accompanying the album are various images from taken from the film of the same name and still taken during its production. As well as these there are some odd little cartoon images. Here there are The Magicians which there are 4 or 5 of. Odd considering there are 4 Beatles not 5. The title of 'Your Mother Should Know' is followed by 'I Am the Walrus' in this and appears not to be an accident as it appears later too.
