Background
So the theory goes that Paul Mccartney was driving
his Astin Martin home one night after an aurgument
during the recording of what would become Sgnt
Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, when he met
with a car accident. In this accident he was
decapitated and lost both his hair and teeth.
Whilst the other band members were distraught,
they decided to replace him with a lookalike, and
carry on as a studio only band, but leaving various
clues so dedicated fans could work out the truth...
Why Cover it Up?
The main counterparts to the theory that Paul is dead other than Paul Mccartney being alive is why. Why would they cover it up and then carry on releasing material long after his supposed death.
The Beatles were huge. It is hard to imagine this from a modern perspective. During their career they became bigger than anything else that had been before them. They were not just good looking or music stars, but film and television stars in their own right. During some of their larger concerts especially in America, the fans went wild. Not just wild, but fans lost control of their minds and bodies, such that rivers of urine would run down the stands. This could have led to The Beatles and The British Goverment to have concerns over the rate of suicide in young women around the world at the loss of such an important figure.
