The first Album to be released in 1966 after Pauls death. It was released at Christmas in the absence of no new Beatles material as in the previous years where The Beatles had recorded special messages to fans and some new material. It features a strange figure, in shadow lounging across a bass drum (Keep an eye on these bass drums, many more of them contain hidden clues!). It is a strange album cover in that, The Beatles are only implied, not actually present. There is also a name change from The Beatles as previously known, to Beatles.

To the left, there is a gold car with three Beatles out of it and one Beatle in it. All three are depicted in black, but not imediately recognisable as individual Beatles. In the back is another bass drum. Next to it is a poster that says THE... and underneath what looks to be ORIGI... Perhaps if it wasnt covered by the stariways golden banister it would say THE END ORIGINAL. This exact car makes a second appearance on this album and again in the film Yellow Submarine.

So here is the same car, complete with bass drum, driving directly at the figures head! Note also the figure is hidden in shadow, appearing to be an unidentifiable Beatle. With the car driving at his head however we can see that it may represent Paul Mccartney and his car crash decapitation. If it does, the figure looks awfully tall... This change in height is apparent from 1966 onwards.

You can see in this image too, four white stars, one of which is much smaller than the rest. Perhaps representing one of the four Beatles fading away.
